Cave Group will be organizing a trip to Ipoh on 7th October 2017 (Saturday) to carry out 2 activities. The first is to take part in the Tambun Cave Art workshop that is being run by a team of archaeologists from the Centre for Global Archaeological Research, Universiti Sains Malaysia. The workshop aims to connect the participants to the rich prehistoric past of Tambun and encourages community participation in rock art conservation through promotion of heritage awareness. After lunch, we will proceed to visit Gua Tempurung. With permission from the site operators, the visit will be conducted by the cavers so that we will be able to share something different from what the local guides will usually provide. Open to members with valid membership and limited to 25 pax. Meeting point and time: 8:45am Tambun Caltex Station, Ipoh. Returning on the same day but expect to come back late as we expect to finish around 6pm. Cost: RM60.00 per pax (Excluding meals and transport) Will inform you on payment method once registration is accepted.

MNS Group Insurance – RM5.00
Donation to the Tambun Heritage Awareness Project. – RM5.00
Contribution to Cave Group Fund – RM20.00
Entrance Fee toGua Tempurung – RM30.00

If driving please indicate if you are coming back to KL on the same day or staying over in Ipoh. Both activities are suitable for children age 10 and above.
