Dr. Sara Lewis is a Professor of Biology at Tufts University in Boston, and has published many scientific articles about firefly ecology and behavior. She has also given a TED talk, and written several popular stories about firefly conservation for Scientific American, CNN, The Guardian, and Natural History magazine. She is the author of Silent Sparks: The Wondrous World of Fireflies, a richly illustrated and accessible book describing the luminous lives of these beloved insects.
