RAPTOR WATCH 2022

Raptor Watch 2022 is flying back to the shores of Tanjung Tuan!  It will be held on 12 – 13 March 2022, Saturday and Sunday at the Tanjung Tuan Forest Reserve.  Staple favourite activities including guided walks, exhibition booths, games will be featured, but don’t forget to visit the main stars of the event – our majestic raptors who will be circling around the iconic Cape Rachado lighthouse at the top of the hill!

Nature walks

We have scheduled 4 sessions where 2 sessions are for past volunteers, and 2 sessions for everyone else. As we have to adhere to the SOPs set, pre-registration is required for every participant.

To past nature guide volunteers, clear up the cobwebs in your brain and muscles by joining us for a session in Tanjung Tuan! Below are the sessions and its related registration form:

BEACH CLEAN-UP

Calling out all nature lovers to join us for a beach clean-up activity organized in conjunction with Raptor Watch 2022. Pre-registration is required to reserve a place.

SOP: only participants who are fully vaccinated and with low risk status are allowed to participate. Screening will be conducted at the MNS Registration Booth. Children must be accompanied by fully vaccinated adults.

VIRTUAL RAPTOR WATCH

This year, as we celebrate raptors at Tanjung Tuan, let’s delve deeper into the bird photography virtually and other interesting activity we brought up to you virtually.

With a decade of experience in birding and wildlife photography, Henry Goh, the Vice Chairman of BirdLife International Asia Council and representative of BirdLife partner member countries in the Southeast Asia region, is here to share all his tips and tricks in the art of capturing birds in flight! This workshop is brought to you by Canon. Then, the event will be continue with live telecast from Tanjung Tuan, Melaka and E-Forum: “What happens when no raptors are migrating?”
