Forest Reserve Degazetted For Planting Oil Palm

The degazettement of 2,432 ha of Belara Forest Reserve, Terengganu, in 2017, for the conversion into oil palm plantation, was recently discovered by MNS Terengganu Branch. 

Wong Chee Ho, MNS Terengganu Branch Chair, was interviewed by BFM on 18 June 2020 to share about the recent discovery and potential impacts and repercussions of the degazettement to the environment and biodiversity.
