Collaborative consumption (i.e. sharing resources!) is good for the environment, your wallet and networking with like-minded individuals! Some items such as formal dresses and evening wear are just not appropriate or accepted as donations to thrift stores, homeless assistance centres or rural families. Why not share and swap your finery and make new friends in the process instead?
If you are like many of us who have dresses that are kept in the wardrobe for ages and worn only once or twice a year, and you see yourself in the same dress every wedding dinner, or if you have upgraded or downgraded in size and the same dresses no longer fit, here is the chance to bring your dresses along to exchange, so that you have different dresses to wear this year.
Types of dresses: Dinner / formal wear
There will be two sessions:
10:00 – 11:00 a.m. for sizes XS, S and M
11:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon for size X and XL
Please bring a maximum of 5 pieces to exchange.
