  Critical Ecosystem Partnership Fund provides US$10 million for biodiversity conservation in Indo-Burma Region

After four years, the Critical Ecosystem Partnership Fund’s (CEPF) investment in the Indo- Burma biodiversity hotspot, implemented by BirdLife International, has resulted in more than US$ 9.8 million in grants to 54 civil society organisations to conserve biodiversity in Cambodia, Laos, Thailand and Vietnam.

The latest round of climate change talks closed this Saturday in Doha, Qatar. After two weeks of intense and frustrating negotiations governments reached agreement on a compromise text which yet again falls far short of what is needed to keep the world on a pathway of limiting global average temperature rises to less than two degrees Celsius above pre-industrial levels.
