MNS' Annual Events
25 Feb 2015
As part of our CEPA (Communication, Education & Public Awareness) approach in recruiting, empowering and partnering with people to act for conservation, our annual events has been an effective platform to achieve this objective.
Annually, we organize 2 major events which focuses on habitat conservation:
Raptor Watch: celebrated annually since the year 2000 in the first weekend of March, this event was created to help promote and conserve the Tanjung Tuan Forest. This forest is important for the migratory raptors to rest and find food as they travel back to their home in the Northern Hemisphere. Detailed information can be found at www.mnsraptorwatch.wordpress.com
Pesta Sayap (Festival of Wings): held annually in Kuala Selangor Nature Park, this event focuses on educating local school children and the community of the importance of wetlands to the ecosystem. This festival is held in the month of October, during the migration of waterbirds. Log on to www.pestasayap.wordpress.com for information and updates.
